Chen-Del-O Federal Credit Union is offering a credit union wide college scholarship award program.
Chen-Del-O Federal Credit Union members will be competing with other high school students from their credit union membership for the chance to win one of three $500 scholarship awards offered. Qualifying students must be members of Chen-Del-O Federal Credit Union and a college-bound high school senior at the time of application, and a member in good standing with the Crfedit Union at the time of the award. Applicants will be judged on academic performance, extracurricular and community activiites, quality of a written essay on their career and education goals, and a teacher's reference.

Application Deadline: All applications must be received by the Credit Union prior to the end of the business day on February 19, 2010. No faxed copies will be accepted.

AT&T and BBB Science & Technology Scholarship

AT & T and the Better Business Bureau announce the 3rd annual Science and Technology Scholarship Award for high school seniors who are interested in pursuing post secondary education The award is open to students who have committed to pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in the fields of technology and or science and also reside in and attend a high school located in Upstate New York. Full application details are also available on BBB's website at www.bbb.org.
Scholarship Amounts:
  • 1st Place - $3,000
  • 2nd Place - $2,000
  • 3rd Place - $1,000

Lucy Funke Scholarship

The Chenango County Council of the Arts is once again sponsoring the Lucy Funke Scholarship Award for Excellence in the Arts. One student in each high school in Chenango County will be chosen to receive the $100 award. Applications for this scholarship are available in the Guidance Office, see Mrs. Cabrinety
Criteria: Awarded to a graduating senior entering a two or four year college or continuing education program in the visual, performing, or creative arts.

CWS - Wilson Harrison Scholarship

The CWS Charitable Foundation has established a scholarship fund in the name of one of the agency's founding members, Wilson Harrison. Any senior whose intended college major is in the human services realm is eligible to apply.

ASMC Scholarship

The American Society of Military Comptrollers, CNY Leatherstocking Chapter is sponsoring a scholarship program. Any senior entering the fields of finance, accounting, business administration, economics, public policy, computer science, etc. and are in the upper one-third of their graduating class or have an average of 3.0 or better may apply.

Deadline for submission is February 28, 2010.

SFCU Scholarship

In an effort to help further the education of high school seniors, SFCU is participating in a statewide college scholarship program through the Credit Union Assoc. of New York and will offer credit union members (college-bound high school seniors) across NY State the chance to win one of five $1000 scholarship or several $500 scholarships.
All scholarship applicants are required to be a New York State credit union member, a college bound high school senior, plan on attending college for the first time in the fall of 2010, and plan on enrolling in either a two or four year accredited educational institution. Applications for these scholarships are available at any of the SFCU's branches.
All applications must be returned to SFCU no later than Friday, January 22, 2010

Thomas F. Manley Nursing Scholarship

The Dr. Thomas F. Manley Nursing Scholarship is available to students who are pursuing a nursing career. The scholarship consists of a minimum of $500 - $2,000, and in some cases could exceed this amount. The applicant must be in the upper half of their class, have a need for financial assistance and have a sincere interest in the profession of nursing.

Otis A. Thompson Foundation Scholarship

The Otis A. Thompson Foundation announces a four-year college scholarship to be awarded once every four years to a member of the graduating class. The amount of the scholarship is to be $1,000 per year for a total of four years.

Who is eligible? Any graduating senior, who is going to attend a four-year degree granting institution accredited by the regional accrediting association.
