Today we will start to look at Japan, beginning with the geography and early history. By the end of the day the students should be able to answer these questions:

Define archipelago.

What term is used for a chain of islands?

What type of geography covers most of Japan?

GLOBAL II:

Today we will be looking at the Middle East during the period between the wars. Tomorrow the students have a quiz that covers the notes since the start of the unit. By the end of the period the students should be able to answer these questions:

What term is used for Jewish nationalism?

What British statement promised a Jewish homeland?

What was the result of the Balfour Declaration?
