    GLOBAL I:
    Today the class will be taking a quiz on the notes on Japan. Just a reminder that the students are taking a unit exam tomorrow.
    GLOBAL II:
    Today we start to look at the dictatorships that show up during World War II. We begin by looking at Japan. By the end of the period the students should be able to answer these questions:

    What was the domestic problem facing Japan after World War I?

    How did Japan try to solve its problem of overpopulation?

    Why didn’t industrialization solve Japan’s problems in the 1920s?

    What was the effect of the Great Depression on Japan?

    Why didn’t emigration solve Japan’s problem of overpopulation?

    What kept Japan from taking over China?
