Gilbertsville-Mount Upton’s boys and girls basketball teams will start their 2021 varsity seasons against Franklin tonight. Both games will be live-streamed via YouTube (links below).

All GMU basketball games during the 2021 winter season will be varsity-only. With the exception of Senior Night games, as described below, in-person spectators will not be allowed this season.

 

GMU will open its boys basketball season at 6:30 p.m. tonight at Franklin. The game will be live-streamed on the Franklin Purple Devils Basketball YouTube page at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B3HEk1XK2v4&feature=youtu.be. Franklin senior players will each be allowed to bring a limited number of in-person spectators to the game as the Purple Devils boys will celebrate Senior Night.

 

GMU will begin its girls basketball season with a home game against Franklin at 6:30 p.m. tonight. The game will be live-streamed on the gmucentralschool YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/user/gmucentralschool. The feed will begin a half-hour before game time. Should the live stream fail, game video will be posted to the same YouTube channel within a couple of days.

 

GMU’s boys will host the Purple Devils at 7 p.m. Friday. This game will be live-streamed on the gmucentralschool YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/user/gmucentralschool. GMU senior players will each be allowed to bring a limited number of in-person spectators to the game as the Raiders’ boys will celebrate Senior Night.

GMU’s girls will play at Franklin at 5 p.m. Friday. This game will be live-streamed on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8zytUQurXu4.

Note: GMU girls Senior Night will take place later this season (date, time, opponent TBA).

 

GMU has installed a camera in its gymnasium to live stream all 2021 home basketball games to the gmucentralschool YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/user/gmucentralschool. Feeds for home games will typically begin a half-hour before game time. Should the live stream fail for any reason, game video will be posted to the same YouTube channel within a couple of days.
