Gilbertsville-Mount Upton’s Class of 2021 Graduation Ceremony is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Friday, June 25, at the traffic circle in front of the school’s main entrance.
This invitation-only event honoring GMU’s graduating seniors will take place outdoors for the second consecutive year. Tickets are required to attend the ceremony in person and seating will be assigned. COVID-19 protocols and procedures will be in effect for all in-person attendees.
The entire GMU community is invited to take part in a drive-through parade around the traffic circle immediately following the conclusion of GMU’s Class of 2021 Graduation Ceremony. The parade is expected to start around 7 p.m. Friday.
Graduating seniors must be present in the elementary school cafeteria by 5 p.m. Friday. Students may park in the upper student parking lot. Students arriving with guests or guests who drive separately may park in the gymnasium parking lot.
In the event of inclement weather Friday, the ceremony will take place inside the GMU Auditorium.
Graduating GMU seniors are required to attend a graduation rehearsal from 10 a.m.-noon Friday, June 25. A light breakfast will be provided. The rehearsal will include a class photo in graduation caps and gowns.
A Baccalaureate Service is scheduled for 7 p.m. tonight (Wednesday, June 23) at Centennial Park in Gilbertsville. All graduating GMU seniors and their families are invited to attend this interfaith service to honor our Class of 2021. A reception will follow the service.
