A great way to end the day!

Peer Mentoring and Bullying Prevention activities (10/2021)

Our GMU Family kicked off its award-winning Peer Mentoring program and held a “Stomp Out” event in support of World Bullying Prevention Month on a picture-perfect Friday afternoon on campus.

Elementary School kiddos met up with MS/HS mentors for the first time this school year, then covered the traffic circle outside the main entrance with chalk outlines of their feet and other colorful creations. The outlines symbolized the Raiders’ collaborative effort to stand together and “stomp out” bullying of all forms.

Superintendent Annette Hammond, Principal Heather Wilcox and Assistant Principal/Raiders Mascot Kevin Walsh led the district-wide charge against bullying, highlighted by cheerful music and ice-cream treats for all.

Check out some of the fun on our Facebook page, and remember to #BlueUp every day in October to show your support for World Bullying Prevention Month!
