NHS presentation takes first
Please join us in applauding GMU’s National Honor Society students for winning the top prize in the Community Foundation of Otsego County’s first “Student Voices, Student Choices” competition November 21 at SUNY Oneonta.

Created to promote philanthropy and community leadership among local students, “SVSC” challenged four Otsego County school districts to identify the greatest needs in their communities, research organizations that address those needs, and then present their causes to a panel of local leaders and educators.

GMU’s presentation earned the top award of $5,000, which will be donated to the Otsego County Backpack Program. The runner-up won $3,000, and the other two teams each received $1,000. Cherry Valley-Springfield, Edmeston and Richfield Springs also participated.

Congratulations, Raiders!
