Congratulations to Gilbertsville-Mount Upton student-athletes Gavin Bonczkowski, Skye Wilson, Maya Farwell and Kyle Meyers, who recently received Section IV Character Counts Recognition Awards!
Each received a “gift box” with a certificate, T-shirt, sticker and pin in recognition of their outstanding character and exceptional sportsmanship as student-athletes.
All Section IV senior athletes received red T-shirts for their participation in sports during the 2020-2021 school year as well. GMU’s senior honorees were Emily Hammond, Zan SanSoucie, Kyle Meyers, Skyler Norton, Gavin Bonczkowski, Dominick Hartwell and Olivia Held.
GMU also recently received two plaques from the New York State Public High School Association for athletics excellence during the 2019-2020 school year. The Raiders were recognized for exemplary effort in the NYSPHSAA Sportsmanship Promotion Program and as a NYSPHSAA Scholar Athlete Team School of Excellence.
