Former New York State Senator James Seward, current NYS Senator Peter Oberacker, Bassett Healthcare Network President and CEO Dr. Tommy Ibrahim and other distinguished guests celebrated the opening of Bassett’s School-Based Health Center at Gilbertsville-Mount Upton on a gorgeous September 7 evening on campus.
Seward cut the ribbon to officially recognize the opening of the SBHC, which offers healthcare to all GMU students at no cost to their families. The SBHC is dedicated to Seward, who helped secure funds for the facility.
GMU Superintendent Annette Hammond and Principal Heather Wilcox then welcomed dozens of GMU families to campus for an Open House that featured staff meet-and-greets, free chicken dinners, and the opening of the GMU Apparel Store!
See you this Thursday for the first day of school!
