Congratulations to Skye Wilson, the GMU High School Student Council’s Senior of the Month for December 2021!
Skye is an active member of the GMU community – both in and out of school – and works diligently to be a student leader within classrooms, athletics, and clubs. She was unanimously selected to be our December Senior of the Month, which speaks to the solid relationships she has built with her classmates and underclassmen.
Skye has pushed herself to be academically successful and actively involved in several extracurricular activities offered at GMU, including school sports since Grade 7. A member of the National Honor Society, Skye is the Class of 2022’s president and the Student Council’s secretary. She has worked to organize and participate in events, fundraisers, and sponsorships, such as the Veterans Day Breakfast.
Nicknamed “Mom Skye” for her caring, kind and giving personality, Skye is a leader by example who actively participates in all things GMU. She is a dedicated, positive and persevering individual who exemplifies the qualities of a senior of the month.
Skye plans to continue her education in college by majoring in psychology. Her ability to communicate, care for others, and see the world from various perspectives will surely help, as will her bubbly, positive personality. Best of luck, Skye!
