Congratulations to Angelina Correll, the GMU High School Student Council’s Senior of the Month for January 2022!
Angelina is a hardworking and dedicated student, athlete and musician who holds a job outside of school. Her love of life and sprightly personality bring joy to the halls and classrooms of GMU, making Angelina extremely deserving of Senior of the Month recognition.
Throughout her high school years, Angelina has gone out of her way to try new things. She’s been an active member of several clubs, dedicated to the GMU Music Department, and made varsity in girls soccer – a sport she never played before her junior season.
Angelina’s positive attitude and perseverance made her a fast learner and encouraging team member. She has attacked every new challenge with an open mind and has grown her skillset tremendously. Angelina’s passion to succeed and desire to take advantage of new opportunities demonstrate her love of adventure and limitless view of life.
Angelina spends time outside of school with her family, friends and co-workers. She is a role model to underclassmen, has been a positive influence on young students in GMU’s mentoring program and embraces school festivities such as spirit weeks. Her peers say she is an amazing friend who is always willing to listen and loves to laugh.
Angelina plans to attend college and major in business administration – with a concentration in marketing – after graduation. We wish her all the best in her adventures!
