iReady Assessments begin January 18
iReady at GMU video illustrator (1/2022)

All students in grades 1-12 will soon take the mid-year iReady diagnostic assessments in both Reading and Math. Students will take these assessments at times between Tuesday, January 18 and Friday, February 4.
Grades 1 - 6:
  • Both assessments will be taken at times designated by their classroom teacher.
Grades 7 - 12:
  • Reading assessment will be taken in ELA classes at times designated by the teacher.
  • Math assessment will be taken in Math classes at times designated by the teacher.
*Asymptomatic students on quarantine are expected to complete iReady from home on the dates assigned. Students who cannot complete the iReady on the assigned dates, whether due to symptoms or other excused absence, will need to arrange a time to make up iReady with their classroom teacher(s).

The iReady diagnostic assessments are designed to help teachers determine the development and progress of key skills in both literacy and math. These skills apply to all subjects and allow teachers to design classes that are tailor-suited to their students. It is understandable that students and families have many questions about iReady and why we use it at GMU.

Please use the following link to view an introductory video that may help answer some of these questions:
