GMU’s 2022 Summer Reading Challenge is set to begin July 1!
The challenge is for all incoming students to grades K-6 to read (or be read aloud to) for at least 20 minutes a day, five days per week.
Mrs. Weidman invited all PK-2 classes to her classroom Friday to introduce the challenge, partake in a summer read-aloud, and color bookmarks to take home. Students in Grades 3-5 received their packets this week from their classroom teachers.
Students must record their daily reading on the two enclosed calendar pages, and return the calendars on the first day of school to Mrs. Weidman. Students who complete the challenge will be rewarded with a special reading celebration in September!
