Sidney Elks' Club donates clothing, shoes, health products to GMU Backpack Program
Sharon Harris (left in photo), treasurer of the Sidney Elks' Club #2175, delivered clothing, shoes and toiletries to the GMU Backpack Program Tuesday.
The donation was part of a $2,000 grant Harris solicited from the Elks
National Foundation that will also supply students in the Sidney and
Bainbridge-Guilford school districts.
Accepting the donation was
Raquel Norton, GMU librarian, who directs the GMU Backpack Program. The
program provides food each Friday for students from 20 families in the
district.
