GMU now closed through April 13
GMU building (3/2020)

The Gilbertsville-Mount Upton Central School District has extended its school closure through April 13, 2020, in accordance with Otsego County’s recent State of Emergency declaration.

The District will continue to provide students with alternative learning opportunities. Each student has been assigned to a teacher who will call home weekly during this closure.

Given the sudden nature of this news, GMU will allow students to enter the school to retrieve items from their lockers or classrooms from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesday through Friday this week. Students should use the main entrance and must follow all social distancing and hygiene rules while inside the school building.

Those who need assistance providing meals for their children during the closure should call the school at 607-783-2207 for help.

Plans regarding the Coronavirus pandemic and its effect on the GMU community can change at any moment, especially if state or federal mandates are enacted. Further updates, if any, will be shared via our website (https://www.gmucsd.org/), our social media pages (@GMU Central on Facebook and Twitter) and telephone calls.
