Eron Button: Senior of the Month November 2019

GMU Senior of the Month
Eron Button, November 2019

Gilbertsville-Mount Upton's Eron Button is a friendly, outgoing and pleasant senior who is instantly recognizable in the halls.

Eron is dedicated to his DCMO BOCES Conservation program, specializing in Heavy Equipment Operation. He recently obtained his CDL, and he successfully competed in a Tractor and Bulldozing Competition at Cobleskill High School Day.

Volunteering in his community, Eron is an integral part of the Borden Hose Company in Mount Upton as a volunteer firefighter. He spends many hours organizing and participating in community events. He’s also a valuable, courteous and efficient employee at Tractor Supply Company in Sidney who is always willing to assist customers.

A member of the GMU Clay Raiders trap shooting team, Eron also was elected as Homecoming Prince last fall. He likes to offer advice to fellow seniors, including humorous words of wisdom at times. To that end, his teachers have been impressed with the mentoring that he does with middle school students throughout the day — teaching them the ropes and giving cautionary tales and kind advice.

Eron’s future plans include using his CDL to be successful and fulfilled! HS STUCO wishes you all the best!
